Help with transport to hospital or other friendly support

Hospital Transport North East Fife

Our volunteers provide a transport service, there and back again, for hospital visits or other appointments. We also offer befriending service with volunteers that give a bit of company to those with the most need.

What We Do

Our Clients & Volunteers come from all walks of life, with a wide range of interests and skills.

We specialise in providing non-emergency transportation for all medical and associated appointments for residents, in our service area, who do not have ready access to personal or public transport. We also provide company and support for adults who live on their own, or those who are house bound and in need of a friendly chat on a regular basis.

We rely on our dedicated volunteers to provide our support with respect for privacy, confidentiality, safety and comfort. This is enabled by funding and charitable donations.

All our volunteers are assessed for suitability and have undergone Disclosure Checks as required for the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme in Scotland.

Here to help! We can give help for transport to hospital or other appointments, of if you need a bit of company or need a break from caring for someone yourself.

"Thank you for your sterling effort to get me to my appointment at Victoria Hospital on 22nd January. Gavin was brilliant, efficient, calm and reassuring. I cannot speak highly enough of the service you provide."

Evelyn MacDonald

"I want to thank you most sincerely for your kindness in arranging all the different lifts between Newport, Tayport and my aunt's home- it took a tremendous pressure off me trying to organise people twice a week for a 95 year old who demands punctuality at all times. Your volunteers were always on time and unfailingly polite and kind- would you be kind enough to thank them on our behalf. I think she'll miss their chat!"
