Help with transport to hospital or other friendly support

Patient Transport

We specialise in providing transportation for all medical and associated appointments for residents, in our service area, who do not have ready access to personal or public transport.

Continuing Care Service provides non-emergency transportation for the elderly, disabled and vulnerable. We are a registered charity with thirty-six years experience, striving to cater to the needs of those who require reliable transportation to and from health related or any associated social appointments.

Our current service is for patients who are unable to drive themselves and require to present themselves for appointments at health service providers.

When Can We help?

We are available Monday to Friday for all local and longer distance transportation. Weekend appointments can be undertaken by special arrangement.

Normal hours: 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m Weekdays
Weekends: By special arrangement.
Notice:  Two days notice

Usually up to two days notice is required to enable us to schedule our volunteer drivers, although we will endeavour to accommodate appointments at shorter notice.

What Does It Cost

We provide an affordable solution for your transport needs, allowing you to focus on your health issues.

Our services are provided by volunteers who give freely of their time.

We do however re-imburse their fuel costs on the basis of the distance involved for each journey.

The Co-ordinator will willingly provide you with details concerning costs, for the level of donation suggested when you book an appointment.
